Can you walk past a puppy and not stop? Then you probably should look further.

If you chase people with Bulldogs down the street, have trained all your friend’s dogs, and spend more time at the park than your office (or would like to), then dog training may be for you! It is a second (or third) career for many successful trainers.

At Canine’s Best Behavior you will eat, sleep and smell like a dog. Once accepted into our apprentice program you will start observing classes, in home sessions, facility  training and evaluations. In the (approximately) 6 months you are apprenticing you will work with dogs, apply what you learn at a shelter, helping dogs while you hone your skills and read recommended materials to ensure that when you walk out, you will be able to train low level behavior problems, basic obedience and private instruction, safely responsibly and humanely.

Many or our apprentices come to work for us. Some want to hang out their own shingle. Either way, the skills you acquire will be invaluable in your training career.

Our criteria-you must:

  • Be motivated to learn
  • Professional with GREAT people skills
  • Seriously love dogs and want to better their lives through humane education
  • Be flexible and open to new ideas
